Ms. Abdelhamid
Social Work
([email protected])
Hello, Sauganash students, families, and staff!
I’m Ms. A, short for Abdelhamid, and I am thrilled to be the new School Social Worker at Sauganash Elementary School! I am overjoyed to join such an incredible school community and cannot wait to build meaningful relationships with all my new students, families, and coworkers. This will be my fourth year as a Social Worker for Chicago Public Schools, and I bring experience from working with amazing students on the West Side of Chicago and the Northern Suburbs.
A little background about me: I am a proud bi-cultural and bilingual first-generation Egyptian-American. Raised in Northbrook, a northern suburb of Chicago, I have now embraced city life since starting my career with Chicago Public Schools. My journey includes earning a Bachelor of Social Work from Western Michigan University and a Master of Social Work from Loyola University of Chicago.
When I’m not working, you’ll find me indulging in Chicago’s vibrant restaurant scene, traveling near and far, singing my heart out, and cherishing time with friends and family.
I am so excited to embark on this new adventure with all of you, and I look forward to an amazing year ahead!
