Hi All!! My name is Sean Kennedy. I grew up in Mount Prospect, IL and attended St. Raymond's grade school. I then attended Prospect HS and Western Illinois University. I have 2 brothers and a sister, two of which are also in education. I got married in 2016 to my wife Kimberlie and we have 2 boys! Finn (7) & Brody (4).
I am so thrilled to be the principal of this great school. As I get set to start my 15th year at Sauganash, I could not be more proud to be a part of such a great school and community. Looking forward to a wonderful school year 2025-26!
I received my masters in educational leadership from Concordia University. I love Sauganash School and have worked here for 15 years. Prior to my role as AP I taught special education in all grades K-8 and was our school's athletic director from 2011-2016. Before becoming an administrator I coached Cross Country & Track at Sauganash as well as high school basketball at both Gordon Tech and Notre Dame College Prep.
I am a fan of all sports and Chicago sports teams. I am an avid golfer and love rooting for all things Sauganash!
