Hello! My name is Catherine French and I teach 8th grade Algebra. This is my 25th year at Sauganash. I graduated from Loyola University with an Elementary Education Degree. Later, I earned my masters degrees from Northeastern Illinois University in Mathematics for the Elementary School Teacher and from National Louis University in Curriculum and Instruction. Additionally, I have an endorsement to teach High School Algebra to middle school students.
I have lived on the Northwest Side of Chicago for my entire life. I am married to my husband, Dave, who is a Chicago Firefighter. Together we raised one son and three daughters. As empty nesters, we love going to sporting events and traveling.
Sauganash is like a second home to me. I feel quite fortunate that I get to work alongside such amazing educators, hardworking students, and supportive families. I love keeping in contact with former students.
