Hello! My name is Catherine French and I teach 7th and 8th grade math.This is my 20th year at Sauganash teaching Pre-Algebra and Algebra. I graduated from Loyola University of Chicago with an Elementary Education Degree. Later, I earned my masters degrees from Northeastern Illinois University in Mathematics for the Elementary School Teacher and from National Lewis University in Curriculum and Instruction. Additionally, I have an endorsement to teach High School Algebra to middle school students.
I have lived on the Northwest Side of Chicago for my entire life. I am married to my husband, Dave, who is a Chicago Firefighter. Together we raised 4 incredible kids. Our family loves sports and traveling.
Sauganash is like a second home to me. I feel so fortunate that I get to work alongside such amazing educators, hardworking students, and with such supportive families. One of my favorite things about Sauganash is when former students come back to visit because it reminds of how lucky I am to be part of this school community
