Hello!
I'm Mrs. Askuvich. I've been working in Chicago Public Schools for over 20 years. Most of that time was spent as a middle school science teacher, but I am delighted to be the STEM teacher here at Sauganash! I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (Go Badgers!) and earned my Master's Degree from St. Xavier University as part of the Teachers for Chicago Program.
During my time at Sauganash I have had the privilege to continue my quest as a lifelong learner and an advocate for science education by participating in the MSU-WIPRO STEM and Leadership Teaching Fellowship program as well as serving as the teacher leader for the Museum of Science and Industry's Science Leadership Initiative: School Partners Program.
I love traveling with my family and on weekends I can often be found cheering on my kids at their baseball and softball games. Family time is so important to us and we love playing board games, camping, going to sporting events and exploring the city together!
