I was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. I attended Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana for my Bachelor's Degree and a few years later completed my Master's Degree in Music Education at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Over the years I have taught music to grades 6-8 in Dayton, Ohio, 1st-8th grade at St. Mary's Catholic School in Mundelein, and PreK-4th grades in both Lake Bluff and Lake Forest. In all I have I been teaching music for 20 years!
In addition to teaching music in schools, I have also given many, many piano lessons at home, at other's homes, and at David Adler Cultural Center in Libertyville. I have performed in and played piano for many community theater productions in Lake Bluff and Lake Forest at Gorton Community Center and I currently play for the contemporary mass at St. James Catholic Church in Arlington Heights.
When I am not being a teacher or musician, I am mom to four grown children and grandma to two grandsons. I like to travel, read and go on walks with my sheltie, Jamie.
