Hi, my name is Megan Calvert and I teach 3rd and 4th grade reading.  I received my Elementary Education degree from DePaul University and I am currently working towards a MA degree as a reading specialist.  This is my 9th year teaching and my 2nd year at Sauganash.  Before joining the Sauganash team, I taught at St. Therese School and Nettelhorst School in Chicago.  I also spent a few years teaching in Atlanta, GA. I’ve taught every grade level from kindergarten to fourth grade but my current role is my favorite!  I LOVE teaching reading all day.

​When I’m not teaching, I love to travel with my husband, spend time with my friends and family, try new restaurants, read, watch movies, and spend time with my sweet french bulldog, Mabel.
